I am presently working as Associate Professor in Discipline of Psychology, School of Social Sciences, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. I am also Programme Coordinator for the Ph.D. programme in Psychology at the University. I previously worked as Reader and Course Coordinator at Abbe Faria Post Graduate Department of Psychology, St. Xavier's College, Goa, India. I also worked as a Family Counsellor with Family Counselling Centre run by All India Women's Conference, Goa, India. I have been actively involved in conducting training programmes in industries. My doctoral research was based on Health Modernity of Goans and Fisherfolks in Goa, India. One of my research stdies is based on Petal Oracle, a unique ritual of commuication with Deity in Konkan region in India.

My research interests are couple relationships, women's issues, culture, health, organizational behaviour, and issues with regard to elderly. I am also interested in research work related to distance and adult education.
